First Snow - Saturday Oct. 10th

This is the view from our bedroom window when we woke up Saturday morning.

Kylie was invited to a birthday party/sleepover for a girl in her class that lives in Bailey. This seemed like a great time to try out her new snow boots.

And to teach her what "layering" clothes means. Sweats under jeans, two shirts, two pairs of socks! And of course, the hat.

Testing out the snow clothes in the backyard.

Bo was a little tenative at first...

But once he figured out that the weird white stuff on the ground wasn't going to hurt him, the wrestling resumed.

Steve teaching Shannon how to start a fire in the fireplace.

We dropped Kylie off for the party at a ceramic painting place called Go Paint! in Evergreen. After that, they were going to Beau Jo's Pizza for lunch, then back to her friend Courtney's house in Bailey for the sleepover. This is a river that runs behind Beau Jo's. Steve and I had lunch there before heading back home.

Yup, it was 17 degrees in Evergreen when we got there to drop Kylie off. Glad she had new snow boots!
