Snow Day #1 - Wed Oct 28th

I'm sure you heard all about our big snowstorm, so here are some pictures. These are just from the first snow day. The kids were out of school for two days.

Kylie wanted to shovel snow, first thing in the morning. Who was I to argue?

Shoveling snow is fun, right? For about five minutes.

Our cul-de-sac, buried. We didn't see the street for two days.

Kylie wants to go see if the neighbors can play, of course.

Looking down the street in the other direction.

Luke loves playing in the snow. Bo is...getting used to it.

The patio chairs on the back porch.

The kids built a fort under the big pine bush in the front yard. That bush was weighed down so far we thought it was broken. But once the snow melted, it sprang right back up.

Wow, cleaning the snow off the car is fun, right! I'm sure this is just a first-time novelty.

The garbage truck guy was having problems. He kept spinning his tires and sliding backwards.

She actually volunteered to do this.

I'm sure she won't be quite so eager to help when the next storm comes.

Looking down the street. I think it didn't stop snowing for about 48 hours straight.

Shannon pulling Kylie and her neighborhood buddies Zoe and Emerson up the street on the sled.

Kylie and Emerson on the sled.

The poor, weighed down pine bush.

Ok, she's going to shovel too?

I predict this won't last either.
